Help Please refer to the FAQs below for quick assistance with common questions. If you can't find the answer you're looking for, then click here to contact us. How do I add a listing to RB Garage? Only registered site members can add new listings. Registration is FREE, so sign up today! Once you're logged into the site as a member, you can add a new listing from the link on your My Garage page or by clicking Add Links from the main menu. How do I update one of my listings? Once you're logged into the site as a member, you can make updates to one of your listings by clicking the "Edit" link next to the listing name on your My Garage page. Why is my submitted listing not showing up on the site? New listing submissions must first be approved by our internal staff before they are added to the RB Garage directory. If approved, your submitted listing will appear on this site within 1 to 3 days. RB Garage receives many submissions, so please be patient. This approval process allows us to maintain a clean directory with only REALbasic-related listings. To check on the status of your listing, visit your My Garage page to see if the listing's "Pending" status has been upgraded to "Approved". Why did my submitted listing get deleted? Unapproved listings will appear on your My Garage page with "Pending" status. Once approved by RB Garage, the status will be upgraded from "Pending" to "Approved" and is then added to the RB Garage public directory. If a "Pending" listing disappears from your My Garage page, then it was probably denied approval and deleted from the database. There are many reasons why a listing submission might be denied approval. The submission may have included an invalid URL, incomplete information, inappropriate content, or the URL was a direct download link (which is not allowed). If you believe RB Garage denied/deleted one of your listings in error, please feel free to submit your listing again. What kind of listings can I add? RB Garage only accepts REALbasic-related listings. This covers a very wide spectrum of categories -- everything from custom classes, plugins, modules, and examples to development books, magazines, tutorials, and services. If you've got a product or service that would be directly useful to REALbasic developers, then your listing may be eligible for approval. RB Garage reserves the right to reject any listing submissions that we deem inappropriate or unrelated to REALbasic development. How come listings do not include version numbers? Since developers are constantly updating their products and components, version numbers become obsolete quite fast. So in an attempt to keep RB Garage's directory as current and updated as possible, we recommend that developers list their products here without version numbers. You can always update the version numbers on your own web site (since that's where users will go for more info when they click on your RB Garage listing links). Can I add a listing to more than one category? No. To prevent littering the database with multiple listings of the same item, please add each listing to only one category. If you are concerned about people finding your listing, simply use keywords in your listing description that you think people would search for and it will come up in searches. How do I report broken links? If you discover a listing that features a broken or outdated link, please use our online Contact form to send us the name of that listing. Your assistance in quickly reporting broken link listings will help us maintain an active directory with as little "link rot" as possible. |
