SimpleCMD_Socket is a socket class you can use to send & receive arbitrary commands with as many arguments of arbitrary length you want. You just create a new instance of an accompanied class called Socket_Command, append your arguments as strings and send it. The other host will receive a copy of your command - that's all.

There are many situations where it would be useful to find out who else on your internal network is running a copy of your application. This is useful for things like doing network checks, or maybe you would like to add a chat feature to your application. There are any number of reasons you might like to have this sort of functionality. With the UDPSocket, this is fairly easy to do and with Aaron Ballman showing you how, it makes it a cinch!

Some time ago I had to implement telnet support for one of my projects, I found a simple telnet example somewhere on the internet and adapted it for RealBasic, I also added a simple way to "Queue" telnet commands, so you can issue commands as soon as a specific prompt shows up, allowing for an automated session.
